Marion Tamesis, MD
Marion Tamesis, MD, FAAD is residency-trained and board-certified in dermatology and pediatrics. She currently practices dermatology and has expertise in pediatric, adult, cosmetic,
and surgical dermatology.
Dr. Tamesis was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She earned her medical degree from University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, where she graduated at the top of her class. She was also awarded the Dr. Estherbelle A. Heceta book scholarship and college scholarship for her exemplary academic performance in medical school.
Dr. Tamesis completed her Internship at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital. She then moved to the United States for residency training. She finished her Pediatric Residency at the Mount Sinai-Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York, where she served as Chief Resident. This was followed by Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at the University of Colorado-Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Being a lifelong learner, she decided to pursue further training in dermatology after a few years in practice. She completed her Dermatology Residency at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY.
She has been in dermatology practice in the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania for the past 5 years. She is excited to join Anew Dermatology and provide the same high quality care closer to home.
She is an expert in skin, hair and nail disorders of all ages. She has extensive experience in cosmetics and helps patients achieve a natural and refreshed appearance. She performs neuromodulator injections (such as Botox), dermal filler injections (such as Juvederm), platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair rejuvination, chemical peels and other skin rejuvination procedures.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons (ASDS), Americal Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery
(ASLMS), American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS), International Hyperhidrosis Society, and Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD).
When not seeing patients, Dr. Tamesis spends her time hiking with her husband and 2 dogs, exploring the Finger Lakes, painting and learning to play piano.
